So, I have actually been working on the basement some. Yes, some of the wire is actually run. Nothing's hooked up, and it needs stapled down, etc. but I've run some cable. That was easy.
Getting my drill to fit in some of the places where I need wiring holes isn't so easy.
I thought briefly about purchasing a right angle drill -- how much could they be, right? (hint: I guessed wrong, they are usually more than $250)
After shooting that idea down I did some more looking and found this. How cool is that?
I ordered it July 29th. I finally got around to checking the tracking number today. Yeah, it will be here August 11th.
sigh.
Time to start something else down there while I wait. Maybe the lights in the family room need strung up. We'll see how far I get tomorrow on that.

I would love a right angle drill! They are spendy though.
I ended up with the same thing you ordered. Worked good enough.
I actually have a small project where a little Makita right angle cordless would be perfect, but I can't justify buying one.
Check harborfreight.com for cheap tools as well. I don't remember if I've ever ordered from them, but I have bought some stuff in one of their retail stores. A lot of it is somewhat low quality, but for stuff you only need to use once or twice it can save a bunch of money.
Thanks for the tip on harborfreight. There is one here semi-locally. The one that I saw that (I think) they sell was around $40. I looked around and every single review was something like "I wish I had never bought this". So I went with the attachment. heh.
